Mark Rottier and I just completed our 2010 Weeds N' Walleye School and it was a huge success!! Not only did attendees become better weed walleye fisherman by catching lots of walleye up to 23 inches but there were hundreds of bonus fish caught also. Perch, northern pike and crappies were also caught by the entire group. Additionally a couple of the attendees had the trip of their lives by catching more walleye than ever or in the case of Jason Hoerter boating his largest musky. A 48.25 incher on a 1/16 oz jig with Mark Rottier.
The largest walleye was boated by none other than Steve Novak of Lake-Link while fishing with Don Waier. Not to be out done, Don boated many of the walleyes in the Lake-Link boat as well as a 40 inch musky. See the attachments of Jason, Don and Ivett Sosa with one of the many walleye she caught at the school below. Mark Rottier shows some of the quality cabbage located at the school.
The walleye were in weeds ranging from 3 feet deep to 18 feet deep. The best producers were Coontail and Anacharis.

On another note, if you can get up to Eagle River in the next 2 weeks you will hit some of the best weed fishing of the year. See you when you get here!
