Ventured out into the bumper car ride of kipling last night. Did OK but they were running small. only 3 keepers that just made it. same real slow harness rig did the trick.

We fished the kipling area yesterday afternoon. It was a lot like a used car lot, except they were boats. It took me an extra 15 minutes just to weave through all the boats to get to a fishing spot. We set up in the mud flats off the east side to get away from all the boats, but still had to look out for other people trolling at us. Caught around 12 walleyes and a pike, but none big enough to keep. We were close on the last fish - 14 7/8". Maybe that fish will be big enough next month. It was nice to see a decent amount of small walleyes, which is good for the future of the fishery. I wasn't as excited about no keepers and all the other boats, but I guess that's fishing.
