We headed out at 5:30 PM for a nice change there was only a 6 inch chop on the Lake after 5 - 6 foot waves for 3 days out of the NE. We headed out to West reef on the west side of North Bass Island, because we checked on NOAA Lake Erie Modis Imagery, and found clean water around N. Bass all the western basin was a mud hole. We were going to cast with night crawler harnesses, but the lake was so flat we trolled. We ran our 40 jet divers at 90- 110 and caught 4 nice walleyes and 1 throw back, using mostly purple demon and monkey puke. As it got dark we drifted over West Reef and caught a real nice walleye on a black/silver rattlin rouge. We anchored on 3 other shallow spots on West Reef with no luck so we headed to Niagara Reef shallows and never got a bite. We also tried Crib, and Toosaint with no luck. We still had a great time ended up with many laughs and finnally called uncle at 1:30 AM.
