Saturday's walleye action continued to be good despite the cold front like conditions. My 2 clients and I started out working a shallow stump filled hump with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads and found nothing but stumps. We moved a short distance to even shallower water (3 to 4 ft.) that contained both stumps and boulders along with patches of coontail and picked up a couple of keeper eyes along with a smallie and a pike on our first pass. We continued working this area back and forth until we had our limits of nice eyes along with many small throwback pike. We finished up the day working various rocky shorelines for smallies and we had limited action on them, mostly all small males, but a good time anyway.
No scheduled trip until Friday, will keep you posted.
