I had a half day last night for walleye fishing on Chief Lake. We did not do well over there. Usually you can scrape together some fish over there but last night was not the night to do it. We caught one walleye. We tried deep shallow and everywhere in between. The bad thing was that after I dropped them off I tried a little spot on the way home and caught three nice fish within about ten casts. Maybe we shouldn't have fished Chief last night but usually it's good over there. Frustrating but that's the way it goes sometimes.
The water temps were 68 to 72 degrees yesterday. I'm guessing they are well into the 70's today with the warm windy day. I'll be back at it tomorrow.
