Jasons Fishin Addiction

Pretty good storm blew through a few days ago and today will be plenty hot and humid. The walleyes have not exactly been giving themselves up but they are accessible. Yesterday, we caught fish in 35 ft on a jig and fathead but also in 7ft pitching lite jigs tipped with live bait.
If the sun is shining bright, I'd start off in the deep holes and don't be afraid to use heavy jigs; the key is to stay on the bottom. If you're not occasionally snagged, you're not maintaining contact. Early morning or near dark, I prefer to fish shallow and pitch jigs. The action is just faster and you have the possibility of catching anything. We saw two huge muskies in the shallows on Monday.
Remember to obey the slot rules (17"-26") must go back and for those of you who are successful, don't forget to keep the cheek meat.
