Well, our group of 7 was up there for 4 solid days of fishing May 22 -May 25. The fishing was extremely good. On one of the mornings (either the 23rd or the 24th), not exactly sure which (dice games until 4 am will do that to you), my boat with 2 guys and another boat with 3 guys caught our 15 fish limit in just over an hour. We discussed either going in or continuing to fish without keeping anything and decided to go in.
Had fresh fish for lunch. Wow, what a great meal. We all ate so much, we basically skipped supper.
The toughest day was Tuesday when a storm rolled and and it poured for a couple of hours. The 4 guys left still caught 8 walleyes in that evening, but it was a tough bite with only one fish close to 30".........give or take a foot.
It was a strange trip as my longjohns never left the cabin. I also found out that my fishing cap visor has a duel use - as a rain protector, and as a sun visor. Who knew?
All in all, a fantastic trip.
