Our annual Walleye camp was excellent !!
With all they hype about netting and fish counts down we were not sure how things would be. The bite was awesome. We drift with crawlers and when the wind was blowing we got limits. We had 4 guys on my boat and boated prolly 200 walleye, many 12-14" range which is great to see. The fish seemed to be in 2" incraments 16, 18, 20 and our biggest walleye was 21". Most came on purple gummy floater with crawler or leech. We fished off the days river and the center reef the whole time in 14-18 FOW. Also got a 37" Northern Pike, that was quite a battle. Seemed to be alot more sheephead than in previous years for us. Couple of them we thought were hogs until we saw the silver flash.
Nice to see some of the roads getting upgrades.
Oh, That new blade works great, nice knife for the $$, thanks bait shop guy...
Until next June, rr over and out.
