Got out fishing for muskie on the chain this evening from about 5 to 9pm. Water surface temps were in the 65-67 degree range and conditions were overecast, cool and windy. Winds were blowing out of the W-NW at 10 but it was gusty and raining on and off for the majority of the time on the water. All in all, conditions looked good...cold, wet rainy and a nice chop on the water! I had action from 4 fish. I lost one on a bull dawg in about 5 feet of water, not sure how she got off but the teeth marks were on the nose of the bait so she must have hit it at a tough angle and missed the hooks. I had another one blow-up on a walk-the-dog top water which looked like a very nice fish and then 2 more follows after that. Shallow running crankbaits in the weeds produced these follows. I will be out tomorrow for walleye and bass in the morning and then muskie again in the afternoon. I'll keep you posted!
Good luck and fish hard!
