The past two days saw limited fishing due to the strong winds along with the heavy rain, almost two inches on Tuesday. With all the rain accompanied by the continued mayfly hatch, cloudy water, and dropping water temps, 10 degree drop, the walleye action was not to be, at least where my client and I did manage to fish. Tucked into small coontail filled bays trying to get out of the big waves, all we managed to catch on Tuesday and Wednesday were bluegiills and a few pike and they were caught by hook and bobber combo with crawlers.
Hoping for much better results today, will keep you posted.
