6-13 Walleye report

Hey guys went out of kipling this morning and ran the east bank from the big sand bar north to vagabond and back marking lots of fish and bait. Couldnt figure out why with 5 lines down we didnt get bit. Then we drove into a mayfly hatch scum line. The sucker was as wide as the boat and 3-400 yds long. Hit several of these along the break over there. So we switched it up and hit the shallows for some bass n pike action. None to be had. The only fish we saw shallow were about 20 big carp all over in the cove by the kipling fishing pier.

Got a helluva sunburn but it was still better than work!

I was up in the 3rd week of May and saw lots of May flys then. I thought that was kind of early. I was wondering if they are peaking right now or are they on the down slide.
