There aren't too many, cause nobody is fishing here yet...What is everyone waiting for? The water to warm up and a longer boat ride? I don't usually like to see many boats out there while I am fishing, but at least a few would be nice in case something happens to me and I need a tow.
Caught 4 on the last trip, deeper than normal for this time of year. The water is alot warmer than most years and I haven't caught anything on dipsy's or leadcore (running in the top 35 FOW). All the decent fish I have caught have been 40 to 55 down in 80 FOW.
The hot lures for the year have been a FINN spoon named Yellow Taylor and a Spin Doctor white glow with a green/white Mike's Eyefly.
Most nights I have seen 3 other boats salmon fishing in Manistique, but there have been some trips where I was the only one.
