WOW!
Fished prtty much every type of cover we could try..... walleyes... zero....
Smallies..... zero
Musky action wasn't that hot either. We didn't see our first fish until yesterday (6/14). Fishing cabbage weeds close to deep water..... baraboo lake..... I had a nice mid 40 inch fish hit a hellhound, but threw it on it's first leap from the shallow cover. Also lost a small one over deep water using the same bait. Both fish hit within a half hour of each other, and then we failed to find anymore. Fishing was tough to say the least, but thankfully, the flowage has other things to offer. We got to see deer swimming accross the lake, plenty of eagles, loons, osprey, and even a few otters. The peacefullness and serenity of that body of water is incredible.
Hope everyone has better fishing results than we did.
I'll be back in August for a three week stint..... can't wait!
