I returned last weekend from a month on the bay ( 5/14 to 6/12 ). This is my first chance to post. Yes, I have a very understanding wife!!! In my 15 consecutive years of coming to fish the bay, this has to be one of the best yet. No matter what the fishing is like, the area is beautiful, and the people are great. This year the fishing was fantastic. Every day we had walleye action, and with the large amount of throw-backs, the future looks great. This was the best perch action that I have seen in years. Many of my hometown friends question why I would travel this distance just to fish. What they do not understand is that catching the fish is the frosting on the cake for being here. I have fished many areas downstate and still prefer the "noc". Looking forward to the next time.
