Saturday greeted my client and I with over cast sky's,fairly strong west winds and cold front like conditions, very chilly for most of the day. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either half crawler or fatheads, we spent our hours out there working nothing but the shallows and our efforts paid off. Working both coontail patches and wood, log jams/stumps in 3 to 6 feet of water, we found our 6 nice keepers along with who knows how many small pike along with 1 nice perch and a lone smallie. Crawlers out produced the minnows 4 to 2 on the eyes.
