Hi everyone,
Had a great time fishing with my client Bob. He got his limit of Walleyes and with those we got about 18 Perch, 2blugills, and 2 Crappies. A nice mess of fillets to take home. I only got one Walleye, a 20"er that I released. The weather was beautiful, with bright blue skies and a light wind . Actually to nice for the Walleyes, but after the storms yesterday, I'm not complaining.
We caught all our fish on jig and leeches. Most of the time we drifted in the light breeze. We made small controlled drifts over my favorite mid depth bog flats. Lost a lot of jigs, but caught a lot of fish. We went thru more than a half pound of leeches due to the abundant panfish. It is worth mentioning that we spent a good amount of time fishing weeds too, but just doesn't seem to be any one home.
Water temps are 74 degrees and the water level is up over full. I'll be back out tommorow, will report then.
