Thanks again to Paul, Chris, and Ashley for another awesome muskie opener. You guys did a fantastics job and we are already looking forward to next years trip. I can't believe we another trip has come and gone. Once again, the Saturday morning we left was the most depressing day of the year for our entire group. Was a little different up there without Jake as it took a long time to get him trained to fill our beer cooler daily with ice :) We are going to have to work on Payton for next year!
Fishing was very good for the "Party Cabin" overall with a total of 60 muskies boated out of four boats. The size average was better than usual this year with a lot of fish between 44 and 47 inches. Our boat ended up catching 20 fish and I am happy to report that Luke got his first Crow Lake 50 incher during the trip. We were both very skeptical when we had it in the net because our group had caught so many between 48 and 49.75 but it stretched just over the 50 inch mark. We ended up with 8 fish that day and it was a day that I will never forget. Almost all of our fish were caught once again on Muskie Buster Bucktails (red/red) and the new Musky Buster Bulger Bucktail. The fish seemed to have transitioned out of the spawning bays and out to main lake points, reefs, and shorelines.
I will post a separate email with more pictures.
Thanks again Muskie Bay for an incredible trip!!! Only 355 more days till next year!
