I fished the North Fork of the Flambeau River below Nine Mile June 16th. The water was higher than I have seen it for years. My buddy got a fat 40" musky. Today is July 3 and the water level in the river is still way high. Is the dam on the TFF open? I can't figure out were the water is coming from. Seems to me with all the water going someplace south that the TFF should be full. I know it isn't cause I was there yesterday. What up?

The dam is always releasing water. Right now it is still only releasing 250 cfs as the TFF is not to pool. The river has less area than the TFF. It receives water form many feeder creeks and swamps, so it fills quiker and stays full. Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Lots of good fishing between herbs and deadmans. Will be fun with the higher water.
