What was the final result of trolling on the Chip? I never saw the conclusion.

This was posted on Walleyemaxx's fishing board just after the spring hearings. These votes are still advisory and the state can deem to choose differently depending on how the rest of the state voted, though they try to use "local sentiment" in their final consideration.
"Hi everyone,
There were 6 resolutions introduced on the floor after the regular Sawyer Co. meeting was held on April 12th. These will be evaluated by the Wisconsin Conservation Congress. If deemed valid, they will go on as advisery questions at the 2011 spring hearings statewide.
Sawyer (58) 580110 Walleye Restoration for Chippewa Flowage 85 26 Passed
Sawyer (58) 580210 Continuous Open Season, 25 Daily Bag Limit of Panfish on Chippewa Flowage 79 35 Passed
Sawyer (58) 580310 Motor Trolling in Sawyer County 43 68 Failed
Sawyer (58) 580410 Divide State into North/South Deer Zones 77 16 Passed
Sawyer (58) 580510 Free Ice Fishing Weekend 69 15 Passed
Sawyer (58) 580610 Walleye Slot Size on All Wisconsin Waters 62 22 Passed
As you can see, the trolling issue was defeated on the local level. Lets hope the DNR is listening to the call to restore the Walleye fishery in the Chippewa Flowage.

So not all the info you were looking for, but as much as I could find for the time being.

Dave...I exchanged an email with Frank Pratt (WDNR) about that earlier this Spring. Though the trolling agenda was not supported by the local Sawyer County vote, it was supported by the statewide vote and Frank 'expects' that it's a high percentage likelihood that it will be in place for next year.

Hi everyone.
The WI. DNR suggested NO trolling for the Chippewa Flowage, and the NRB accepted that proposal. So, to answer your question, the Chip. will NOT have trolling in the foreseeable future.
