Thanks to Rocco Rich and Dave from Univar for choosing Sunchaser for your fishing connection. We left the dock and headed to our previous days hot spot north of "D" can. We intended on trolling but when we reached the area to fish the wind and waves did not permit us to do that so we quickly switched to drifting and casting weapons. We had to go on the hunt as the school of walleye had moved. Our persistence paid off and we got into a nice school of walleye in 27 to 29 ft of water. Everyone was trying different presentations. The one that worked the best was casting out letting the lure go to the bottom taking the slack out of the line then reeling back slow and Bamm the walleye would hit it with a passion. We kept working the same drift area and wound up with a total of 17 nice walleye in the 2 lb + range. We did have some healthy undersized throw backs less than the 15" minimum. That tells us we have a couple of very good class years for the future. Everyone caught fish and we had a good time. See picture below. Capt. Ron
