Well we headed out Friday PM for an evening trip with lots of expectation to fill the cooler. We got our rear ends handed to us, we struggled to catch 6 walleyes in 6.5 hours of trolling close to Northwest reef (the kidney) west of North Bass Island. With that in mind we decided to move the boat 25 miles East to Catawba Island and fish waters east of Kelley's Island in 42 feet of water. There is a huge pack of boats there you can't miss them apprx. 3-4 miles due east of the island. We marked walleyes at 28-30 feet down so we ran our 40 jets to 95-130 feet back using small stinger spoons and j-7's. We ended up trolling very hard and ended up with 16 real nice walleyes. The fishing today Sunday has also been slow so thats fishing and we head back out the next two days so we will let you know.
