Muskies have been very active with some very large fish caught. Fishing 15 feet of water or less with small bucktails has been the best, with cranks and topwater also working. Most fish have been holding near the weeds or just inside them. Color choice can very but nickle and purple or brass and brown have been the colors of choice for me.
Walleye have been holding on the weed edges or just outside the weeds in 10 to 15 feet of water. jig and a fathead minnow has been the best, with a leech or half nightcrawler also working. All day bit with a peak in the evening.
Panfish are still holding in the shallow weeds 10 feet or less in most cases. Small minnows or chunk of crawler under a slip bobber is working.
