Jenks Fishing Report - Wednesday, July 21, 2010
================================================== ==========
Walleye:
Walleye fishing is still a little spotty. It's all crawlers and leechs and it sounds like it's crawlers in the weeds and leechs in the deeper brush.
Muskie:
Muskies are moving around. Nothing big yet but people are getting some action on surface baits and bucktails.
Crappie:
Crappie fising is still decent in the deeper brush and weeds, and the bogs in the evening on minnows.
Panfish:
Bluegill fishing is generaly ok on waxies and worms--weeds and brush are the key.
Bass:
Bass fishing has not been what I would normally expect it for this time of year. It's ok but the smallmouth should be better. I still think crawlers in the brush and stumps is best.
Weather report
Well, my weather reports have been about 30% wrong so far this year, but I'll try again: temps in the mid 70's with a chance of showers on Sat.
Water level
No change--just enough rain to maintain the lake at about 6 inches down.
Water temperature
Water temps are sneaking up into the upper 70's.
Enjoy the weekend
