The Bay De Noc Great Lakes Sport Fishing club will be holding it's annual kids fishing derby on Saturday, July 31st in the Escanaba harbor. This a free event. Registration starts at 11am. Fishing will be between noon and 2pm.
2 divisions / 10 years and under and 11 years to 16 years.
Participants 5 biggest fish will be weighed.
prizes for top weights in each division.
prizes for the biggest fish in each division.
All species can be brought to the scales as long as they are of legal size.
Kids should bring their own fishing gear, (rods will be provided for anyone that doesn't have one.)
Bring a container to bring your fish to the scales in.
Bait will be offered,(worms,) but you can bring your own.
A parent or guardian must accompany all children.
Viau's hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be available for all participants.
Registration and weigh-in will be held on the west side of the harbor, (look for the red BDNGLSF trailer.)
