I spent a day sturgeon fishing with Bob Barnes yesterday. Bob has spent over 10 years trying to catch a Master Angler sized fish for every species in Manitoba. With 20 specialist awards already under his belt, Bob caught his 23rd species yesterday, leaving only a handful left on the list! We boated 13 sturgeon with the biggest being a healthy 48"er.

With the action we had yesterday, the sturgeon fishing should remain consistent for another week or two. The water temps were 72 degrees which is usually a little warm for their liking, however there were many fish jumping in the area so it doesn't seem they have moved deep for the summer yet.
