The numbers tell it all. In the boat: 49", 47", 44", 37" and two other low 30's. In addition there were the other two hogs we saw (one we hooked up with but didn't land) and the four follows from really nice size fish. We saw fish every day of the week, and hooked up or saw fish on numerous new spots.
The picture is of the 47" that came around 7pm last Sunday night (7/25). The fish hit a bucktail. The 44" hit a different bucktail around 12:30pm on Tuesday (7/27), and the 37" hit a bucktail around 9am on Wednesday (7/28). The 47" and 37" were on the west side, the 44" on the east. The two smaller fish came on suicks, both on the west side.
The 49" was fat just like the 47". It came Friday night (7/30) around 8:45pm and hit a pacemaker. We have no pictures of the 49" because we are horrible photographers. The picture we took of the 44" looks stupid, and the 47" shows a really nice sunset. We now need to hire a photographer in addition to a guide.
We went out with Ty all day on Monday (7/26). We didn't hook up, but had one follow. The bright blue sky and minimal breeze made for a tough day for fishing, but we learned a lot and had a great time on the boat. There is no question that the 49", 44", and 37" came because of the day with Ty.
