Jenks Fishing Report - Wednesday, August 4, 2010
================================================== ==========
Walleye:
Walleye fishing not necessarily exciting. Some being caught deep--mostly on crawlers. I have a feeling that leechs may be just about done for the year--no big surprise--it's August.
Muskie:
Muskie continue to be primarily seen on surface baits and bucktails.
Crappie:
Crappie fishing is still pretty good on the bogs on minnows although that new Gulp minnow has been pretty good.
Panfish:
Again, bluegill are pretty catchable everywhere but you better be thinking about 10-12 ft plus for the bigger ones.
Bass:
Smallmouth fishing sounds like it's ok on the east side on crawlers and leechs--again, the better ones are going to be deeper.
Weather report
The heat is finally breaking . Pleasant around 80 with a chance of rain Sat night.
Water level
Still a lot of water at 1312.6. I'm surprised it's not higher because of all of the rain we keep getting.
Water temperature
Temps are toasty in the upper 70's. It's time to watch your minnows.
Good luck fishing everyone.
