Gave it a few good tries lately, fished from the harbor to the Ford Can and a little beyond, not much to show for my efforts. Haven't been able to make it right at "Prime Time", but close. Water temps are high, although I did find some low 50's near the can down 90' or more, not much bait or many marks. Few smaller fish, lost a few, couple hits and misses. Two years ago, I caught a fair amount of nice fish in the stretch from Portage to the can, hopefully some cooler weather will get things moving again, I don't think I've seen another boat fishing in 3 trips.

Went outof the Ford River to the can last nite. Marked a lot of fish but most were deep. No hits at all and no bait fish. I agree, I think we need cooler weather to turn them on. Will try again later this week.
We were setting up at dusk to try for walleye and my buddies wife buried a treble hook in her finger so we had to head in.
