Have some Goose Jerkey made and bring it to Franks this week. We will be there from Wednesday till Sunday. Maybe we will see you then.

Excellent! Never done any shooting like that where you'e in amongst your decoys, must be a reall buzz when they wheel round and set their wings for the final landing. Not sure my Spaniels would be able to sit still enough!

Yeh Tim,a real buzz.Look and sound like B-29s coming in.Sometimes Rascal gets so excited his blind goes with him on the retrieves.
We are taking a couple young boys tomorrow-that ought to be a buzz.

What a blast(pun intended)this morning!Only 11 yr old Mason R went but as the saying goes,'that dog can hunt'.A great kid,great shot,great hunt and we were done by 7:30AM.
I'll quit on this fishing forum but had to post this pic!

Very cool! Do you have to use steel shot for them, or are you allowed lead still?

Steel or a non-toxic shot such as bismuth,'Hevi-Shot', etc.
No lead.

Same over here. Haven't dared try heavyshot or tungsten due to their astronomical cost, but found that steel really is rubbish. It either smashes them to bits at close range or just wiggles them when they're out there a bit. Lead shot was so much more humane.
Who put the hippies in charge of everything?

Just have to post one more.Neighbor girl who gets a goose on her fist shot ever at geese.Didn't go quite as well after that but a happy hunter!!!!

Well Rascal may finally get back to muskie fishing tomorrow.Couple of stops in St Cloud,Mn tomorrow and if all goes well we'll head north from there.Little longer time away than planned but we had fun hunting with kids.All kids love Rascal-and of course he reciprocates.:)
