A handful of Lake Mendota perch anglers continue to have some success along the weed lines and out as deep as 24' of water. Most of the action is coming from small fish, however the occasional nice size perch can be found. Some decent bluegills continue to be taken along the outside weedlines. Though the amount is sparse, fish up to 10" in size have not been uncommon. Some northerns continue to be active in 2'-6' of water. Try using bucktails for the best results.

Lake Monona bluegills continue to be the best action on the chain. Look for fish in the 30'-50' of water area, but only drop down between the 15'-20' depths. Largemouth bass action, though slow, continues to be best along the deep weed lines.

Lake Waubesa bluegill bite has been slow, but the catches do seem to run larger than on Lake Monona. Look for the most active fish to be along the deep weed edges.
