Anybody else see one?

I was out on my dock in the harbor the other night. and came across something I've never seen up here before.
It was a 5 inch Gar swimming around the end of the dock. Anybody else ever see a long nosed Gar up here?

Hey there, I have heard of a couple reports of gar being spotted up here in the last couple years. One was a buddy who had one swimming next to his boat while trolling for walleye. The other was an ice report of one swimming under a shack. Both were very reliable sources so Id say they are out there.

About 10 years ago my kid caught one at the Esky Harbor. Also see Gizzard Shads down there.

Saw one last summer in the Cedar River upstream of M-35, right along the bank. This one was probably 30" long. I thought it was a northern at first.

i do bowfishing alot in the sping and summer. i normally go out about once or twice a week. Nomally oganz or near the rapid river boat launch. but we see atleast 4 + gar a night. they light water around 3 foot deep and lots of weeds. we have saw some over 28" We have also shot a few. their fair game for bowfishing
