Jenks Fishing Report - Wednesday, August 25, 2010
================================================== ==========
Walleye:
Walleye fishing remains inconsistent. I'd still be using crawlers but all of a sudden I'm selling more minnows---seems a little early to me--especially given the water temperature.
Muskie:
Muskie action seems to have increased. Bucktails sound best but I'm also hearing about glide bait action.
Crappie:
Crappie fishing is still best on the cribs with minnows and tube jigs.
Panfish:
Bluegill fishing is best in the deeper brush and weeds on waxies, worms and crawlers.
Bass:
Smallmouth fishing is still good on crawlers but I'm also hearing more about tubes, frogs and lizards (plastic, of course).
Weather report
Sounds like a pleasant weekend coming up. Low 80's and dry.
Water level
They must be playing with it because it's been moving around quite a bit. It dropped a quick foot but now it looks like it's come back up about 6 inches. Still lots of water out there and there's lots of water coming in--the creeks are high.
Good luck fishing everyone.
