i guess fish can be fat too?

here's two fish that didn't quite meet the standards for ringing the bell.
the first (mine) was big enough at exactly 50", but it was a few days before Op Muskie and i was staying off site with Ed since there was no room in the inn.
the second (Chris Green) wasn't big enough at 49.75".

i post these pics to point out how arbitrary the "magic mark" can be for judging the size of a true trophy...as Chris's fish is WAY bigger than mine. thankfully, Chris recognizes this too and his replica should be delivered soon!

I think I need a lesson in how to make fish look bigger in pictures. Looks like these 2 weight lifters are trying to jam the fish in the camera. My problem was getting as far away from the camera as possible to make sure the fish fit in the view.

Dick, maybe you can point out a few tips on taking pictures... never mind!

Chris and I will be up for Labor Day weekend. Hope Dick left a few for Chris and I? If you think you have a hard time driving away from the woods after only a week or maybe two, try spending a couple summers on the lake! It's like having a short fling with a woman or falling in love with one. The more time you spend with her the more you fall in love and the harder it is to walk away!
