A fellow teacher friend called me yesterday to inform me that if you purchased any Cabela's brand items before 2006, there is a lifetime warranty on it. He had a reel that he purchased in 1998 that failed so they sent him an 89.00 voucher. Yes, it was that simple.
He was so perplexed at what he had heard that he asked about clothing, etc.......the answer was the same. Anything with "Cabela's" stamped or stitched on it qualifies under this warranty. It just has to be Cabela's brand.
Be careful, however. It took them about 5 seconds to tell him the date and time of all his Cabela's purchases over the last century.........just sayin' ;)
