We have been pounded with high winds up to 40 mph for the past 4-5 days has caused our fishery in the western basin to slow up, however the water temperatures have also dropped which means just around the corner the good fall fishing will begin. We fished today around the Rattlesnake Island area and tryed to find some cleaner water with no luck, we had weeds and murky water almost choclate milk. We were after walleye and that just didn't work, we trolled to cover ground and picked up so much weed on our lures, that we decided to try another day. Our close friends perch fished around Niagara reef and the C can area also with not much luck, they caught perch but they were in the 7 inch range.
