Well we headed out today to The west side of North Bass Island off the drop off for West Reef, we marked these perch on Sunday and they were still there. So with a crew of 8 we proceeded to catch yellow perch in the 7-11 inch range, throwing back the smaller perch but ended up with our limit and 62 lbs of these tasty perch. We used tri-rigs tipped with lake shiners and fished right on the bottom. Its still a slow bite due to the high winds, still ( muddy water) and the water temps are dropping daily today water was 66 degrees surface. Walleye are being caught night fishing using jigs off the reefs in 10-13 feet of water and casting cranks in the shallows. No limits on walleyes on the night bites but mostly fishing Niagara and Crib reef.
