I normally come up end of October into November and fish leadcore for walleyes. I have a week off and am coming up October 9th. How will fishing be for walleys and how about fishing for northern pike.

It all depends on the weather, and the weather has been lousy for the last month! Normally the fishing in the bay doesn't start to pick up until the end of October, (for bigger fish, anyway.) You should be able to run into some good eating sized fish, though. Typically, the bite between the Ford and Cedar Rivers is good after dark, pulling cranks. You'll have a much better chance of catching bigger fish down there, than in the bay.
Pike will still be active along the weed lines. Esky harbor, Black Bottom, off the Gladstone beach, and around Butler's Island are all good areas to look.
