Sitting here today again keeping a close eye on the weather and winds. Its September and the winds have had an effect both good and bad. The fishing has been starting to pick up due to cooler nights and our close friends fishing the Eastern Basin of the lake are really catching walleyes and good perch, naturally when they can get out. These winds and change of water temps will push those walleyes back into the central basin soon. Perch fishing in Lorain and Vermillion are really starting to produce quality catches. We will be moving our boat to Catawba Island this upcoming week so we can capture the fall migrating walleyes and run our trips to Pelle Island for Jumbo perch and good day and night walleye, smallmouth bass trips through November if weather cooperates.
