A buddy and I are coming up for this weekend and were wondering if any one has been dragging suckers yet? We are planning on stopping in at the guide shop to pick some up but were hoping to hear about some killer action first.
Thanks,

With the water temperatures in mid and upper 50's the sucker bite is doing well. We have numbers of customers coming in reporting sucker action, mainly on the small suckers up to 14 inches. The largest musky reported is a 51 1/2 inch monster caught by Mike Calderazzo while fishing with Guides Choice Pro Shop guide and fishing school instructor, Mark Rottier on Lac Vieux Desert.
The fish took a 14 inch sucker.
Mike also boat a 49 1/2 beautiful tiger that day while fishing with Mark.
That fish was taken on an artificial, more than likely a Cabbage Ghost by Badwater Baits.
I would definitely use suckers from here on to the freeze up.

Rick,
If your in the shop on Saturday morning I'll see you about 9 o'clock. Can't wait to get up there and have a change at a fall pig. Thanks for the info. It is always appreciated.
