We have our first snow shower forecast for Oct. 21st.........not sure if I am ready for the "6 month Winter" to begin just yet.

Was 29 degrees here on the mountain. Heavy frost!!!
Maybe another good snowmobiling year, sweet!

The jumbo pike should be on the move now.

Seems like over the years the bigger pike were "on" until late December and then once it got really cold I wasn't able to catch them after that.
You experience this too?

Sorry Toothy, I just saw this post.......
I have not done much January/Feb/March fishing since 2007 so I am not sure about the pike situation. I do think that the BIG pike population has been down a little the past 3 years and not sure why. Hopefully, just a few bad year classes coming through.
Since this thread is about snow, I will say that we had ice on the windshield this morning and snow showers forecasted for today.
