Hit the water at CR about 11:00 to test the NWS "less than one Foot" and try for some staging salmon. Trolled at the river green bouy in 2 to 3 footers with a couple of 2 colors and 4 dypsis all rigged with J plugs. No hits, no errors. Went back to an area where we marked some stacked fish over a structure after trolling with set ups for walleyes. Had a couple of hits but the didn't stay on long. The water calmed down to about .3 footers and we jigged over the site. Caught one sucker and one 18 inch eye. The walleyes were hardly moving the bait and were stripping the half crawler off the jig head. Most of the time you couldn't even tell they were there.
The evening ended with the most beautiful sunset of magenta colors.
Time to winterize the rig and get ready for hunting out west.
