October 14th report

We had some good action in the morning yesterday but no luck in the afternoon. We boated one mid thirty inch fish on a Clip and Go rig. Then we lost two others right after that. Not sure how we lost the last one. That one was a mid forty inch fish and the rig broke free from the sucker perfect and we had the fish right to the boat and bam!......nothing. If anything maybe the fish got overworked after the hookset and the hook ripped from the jaw.

Looks like a nice day today. We'll see what happens.

Water temps were between 55 and 58 yesterday.

Hi Ty,
Are the suckers still tough to come by? Does it seem to matter whether you are using decent suckers, or are the little ones producing just as well?

I was just at Rollie & Helen's and while they have suckers, I guess they ordered 40 yesterday and ended up getting 6!!! It seems to be tough all over...

I guess it depends on what day of the week you get suckers. Half the time the bait shops are out of suckers.
