Lake surface temperatures are approaching turnover point now that they have reached the mid-to-upper 50's.
Shorefisherman have been reporting some succeess on walleyes at night on Lake Mendota. Some areas to look at include Marshall Park, Mendota County Park, Tenny Park at the Break wall, and the Warner Park Break Wall.
If this year is anything like last year, Lake Monona will have a strong fall night time walleye bite, though there have been few reports to confirm those suspecisions thus far.
Pan fisherman have found success both from shore as well as in their boats on Lake Monona. The Triangles, Monona Bay, and Turville Bay have all proven to be active.
Musky fisherman have reported some success on Lakes Waubesa and Monona.
Lake Kegonsa pan fisherman have been finding some perch and bluegills along the outside weedlines.
