I caught this beautiful Walleye today on The Youghiogheny River! She measured 35" and 16 lbs! The only reason I killed this fish was because I truely beleived that it was a state record! (17.4lbs) Hell, I thought it was a world record ! (LOL) I would have bet the ranch that it was over 20+ lbs. I took it to a certified scale and it was 16.1 lbs. Still a trophey anywhere in the world! I beleive this is the same Hawg that followed my lure 2 yrs. ago! She ate a Walleye Phantom on a rock pile in 8 ft. of water! When I was admiring her in the net I thought to myself, This must be what it feels like to put a good 50" Muskie in the net! The Muskies didn't show today but it was still a "Great Day"! :)

Hey Guys, Thanks for all the nice replies! I am going to put her on the wall so she can be admired for years. That fish deserves it! If I knew she wasn't going to make the books she would still be roaming the river today! I will put a good scale in my boat so this never happens again. The scale will also be large enough that a Muskie can be weighed on it too! I wouldn't be able to sleep if this were a "potential record muskie" and I kept it for personal gain and it didn't qualify! It may sound like I'm being alittle hard on myself but this is a very small river that seems to be declining a little more each year! (Thanks to the million canoers from ALL the local outfitters) I would like to see my Kids enoy it for a long time as well! Once again thanks to all and Keep throwin' em back! "It works"!:)
