Hi everyone,
Made it out for the afternoon to try my luck. Only found two small ones and thru them back. Fishing was very slow. Only had a few bites other than that, but enjoyed the beauty that the Big Chip has to offer.
I used minnows on jigs and slipbobbers. I also used fathead minnows and sucker minnows. The only action came on the fatheads. The water temp was 43 degrees with a fairly good chop from a brisk southwest wind. It was partly cloudy with a comfortable 42-46 degree air temp.
I fished deep to shallow and found the fish in the mid-depth bog flats. I didn't have time to search out any green weeds, but I'm sure there are some.
Today was the west side, tommorow the east side. I will report than.
