Found this on another site and my hat is off to Steve Fellegy for doing this.

Fishing guide Steve Fellegy appeared in Aitkin County District Court on Tuesday to face a charge he caught a Mille Lacs walleye out of season on May 14. Fellegy caught the fish with the intention of being cited to draw attention to what he calls unequal hunting and fishing rights in the state, comparing his, as a non-Indian, to those awarded Chippewa bands in 12 counties in east-central Minnesota, including Lake Mille Lacs.
See both stories.

I started fishing LBDN 3 yrs ago. for 20 years i always went to n. wisc. the last couple of years I would see on the news up there on the amount of fish netted, speared, ect. It would make my stomach turn. the last sping trip i made up there, 4 people fishing for a week landed 3 eyes. 2 pike, I decided after that i would never return as long as they keep alowing this to happen. We used to go to the local bars ,eateries, casinos, how many others have done what we have done ? I do not know what LBDN was like 15 years ago. I do see store's hotels closed there too. My point is that if our Govt. keeps allowing this to happen, other people are going to quit vacationing in these great vacation areas, the asian carp, zebra mussels, and other invaisive species will not matter.
