First time with my boat in LBDN. Launched out of Gladstone, went straight across the bay and started marking deep fish. Trolled using a variety of large crank baits (F18's, big jointed raps, tail dancers and reef runners) mostly on lead core. We fished up through the narrows with no fish... maybe one 'drive by' in 30' of water. Pulled lines and went up to some shallower 'reefs' to the north... no fish marked there at all. Came back down along the east shore, marking lots of fish but no bites.
Motored down to escanaba where we saw some other boats (hope they had better luck than we did) and fished outside the harbor areas, caught a 27" fish on a purple/yellow reef runner.
Hoping for better luck next time.
