My buddy is leaving soon to go back downstate for college and I am wondering if anyone has been getting any perch in kipling in the normal 8-12 ft of water. A few winters past I remember putting the line down the hole and having nibbles all day. I'm not real worried about little ones just to have some fun.

A friend and I fished those depths and sometimes deeper yesterday and today out of Kipling, catching lots of small perch with an occasional keeper. Small teardrop lures with single spikes were hit as fast as we could get them down. Small soft plastic tails were also very good.

Thanks a lot! not looking for exact hot spots but I know last year it was dead in those depths.. at least for me.

I fished just off the yellow gate yesterday in 11 fow and caught a dozen perch 8-12 inches. Also got 3 nice walleye. 24" 17 " 16 ". Caught the 24" at 3 o clock on a medium minnow. Had a lot of lookers that wouldn't hit too!
