Spring trip planning ? (April?)

My uncles are planning to come up for a long weekend/week this spring for some big walleye fishing. Just wondering if there is any better week(s) to plan for.

We had some luck last year in late may/early June down by the Ford, but I think they are hoping for an earlier trip... (maybe April). Any suggestions or advice on when the fishing would be good out on LBDN?

Season in closed from March 16th until May 15th.

Thanks, just read that. for some reason I thought great lakes were open earlier. Will let them know.

Walleye fishing is open on the Menominee River all year I think. There are big walleye that go up it. Even monster Sturgeon. Good luck.
