Just an FYI for all of you fellow anglers that visit my site, there is going to be a WFT meeting held February 5th at 5:00p.m. at the Launching Pad.

Well didn't make the last meeting due to a family vacation, but Walleyes For Tommorrow is officially started for Shawano Lake.


We will be conducting a lake survey to locate and document walleye spawning locations as soon as the ice goes out. Volunteers with boats and gps are needed.

We are also going to do a walleye watch. The local warden would like to get some volunteers to watch the cecil creek and possibly some other known walleye spawning areas to try and discourage poachers from stealing fish. All that is needed is for someone to sit in their vehicle in a location that is visible from the spawning area. Any violations that are witnessed would simply need to be called in to the warden. Volunteers are needed.

Anyone interested in participating in either activity can pm email address and I will send more info. Ice-out is right around the corner so we need to move quickly.

Note: Next meeting will be held this Saturday April 2nd, at the Fox Ball Room in Cecil. If you need direction please email me and I will get you some.

Just a FYI there is another WFT meeting this Saturday night at the fox ball room in cecil at 7:00p.m.

We will be discussing the walleyes surveys that were done since ice out and some up coming events like the kids fishing weekend.

I know this is opening weekend of fishing but if you are at all able to make it please do so. We will also be taking new members and volunteers.
